About the event
Note: These are difficult hikes, even compared to others in the White Mountains. Be prepared to give examples of recent hikes to other 4000+ foot peaks before registering.
Our third hike is actually two: one to Mount Adams and one to Mount Jefferson. Participants may choose to hike either or both hikes. One will be Saturday morning, the other Sunday morning. Fantastic views are available from both peaks which are the second and third highest in the northeast. We will be hiking along trails on the Terrifying Twenty-Five list. Yes, there is a reason why these trails are on that list.
The exact trails we will take may change even as we're hiking. However, we can guarantee that you'll be on some trails you have not yet hiked and that (with good weather) the views will be unmatched.

* By its nature, it is hard to always know how long a hike will take. Terrain and trail conditions can change, hikers may have a wide variety of speeds, and emergencies can happen. We attempt to estimate the expected time based on nearly twenty years of experience. Sometimes we're wrong.
